Ping Enrollment (DEVICE): Step by Step

1) Go to "Ping Self-Service portal" using the below link:
** https://CHMFA.corewellhealth.org **

2) Enter your current Corewell-EAST USERNAME and PASSWORD


3) Click the +Add button


4) On the "Add a New Device" window:
A) Download proper PingID application

i) Select CAMERA on your device

ii) Scan the presented QRCode - This will take you to the correct PingID application based on your phone's Operating System {Apple \ Android}

iii) Install the PingID application - Accept the terms / Allow PingID to use camera / Enable all notifications / Allow PingID to use location ONLY WHEN APP IS USED (NOTE: The setting can be used to verify the location your are accessing a Corewell protected application and your PingID Authentication device are in the same proximity)

B) Pair your Device

i) Open the PingID app on your device

ii) Scan the QRCode displayed on the PC screen or choose "Enter Pairing Key Manually", manually enter the presented Pairing Code displayed on the screen. 

5) The PingID app will require a nickname - recommend Corewell Health

Photo is not necessary


6) Device enrollment has been successfully completed

NOTE: One - Time Passcode being displayed on your device is a visual verification of a successful PingID Application install

Your device has been successfully enrolled to receive PingID {SWIPE - FINGERPRINT - FACIAL RECOGNISION} to authenticate.

NOTE: PingID will utilize your device's default authentication setting...

For example: If you use Facial recognition to unlock your device, PingID will ask for Facial recognition to authenticate your Corewell App access -- If you use Fingerprint\Biometrics to unlock your device, PingID will ask for Fingerprint\Biometrics to authenticate your Corewell App access -- If none of these are user rather you use PIN, PingID will ask for swipe to authenticate your Corewell App.

Ping Enrollment (SMS/TEXT): Step by Step

1) Go to "Ping Self-Service portal" using the below provided link:

2) Enter your current Corewell-EAST USERNAME and PASSWORD


3) Click the +Add button


4) On the "Add a New Device" window, choose the SMS icon.

5) Ping will require a phone number to send SMS/TEXT messages. Enter the phone number that will receive the PingID authentication messages.

6) A SMS\TEXT message containing an enrollment code will be sent to the phone number entered in Step #5

7) Use the SMS\TEXT received PingID authentication code to continue your enrollment.


8) SMS\TEXT enrollment has been successfully completed


Your device has been successfully enrolled to receive PingID SMS\TEXT messages needed to authenticate

DUO Enrollment: Step by Step


Enrolling Your Phone or Tablet in Duo

Users will receive a self-enrollment email from Duo Security which will allow them to directly enroll from their mobile device. The hyperlink within the email is a unique hyperlink for that user and will not work for any other user.

Enrollment Email Example:

Click the hyperlink in the enrollment email. Remember, this link is unique to each user.

Enrollment from BH-apps Example:

For a limited time, direct enrollment from BH-apps is available.


Step One: Welcome Screen

Click Start setup to begin enrolling your device.

Step Two: Choose Authentication Type

Select the type of device you'd like to enroll and click Continue.

Step Three: Enter Phone Number

Enter the mobile number you'll use to setup your device.

Step Four: Choose Platform

Choose your device's operating system and click Continue.

Step Five: Install Duo Mobile App

After installing Duo app return to the enrollment window and click I have Duo Mobile installed.

Step Six: Activate Duo Mobile

Activating the app links it to your account so you can use it for authentication. Follow platform instructions for your device. The "Continue" button is clickable after you scan the barcode successfully.

Step Seven: My Settings & Devices

Review setup and click Continue to Login to proceed to the Duo Prompt.

Congratulations!!

Your device is ready to approve Duo push authentication requests.

Note: You will not be prompted for this request until the go-live date.


Using Duo: Step by Step


After completing Duo enrollment and on the go-live date, you'll see the Duo Prompt the next time you perform a browser-based login to a web service or application protected with Duo

Using the Duo Prompt (starting May, 27th, 2020)

Select the device you want to use and then choose your authentication method.

Duo Push is the recommended method if you have the Duo Mobile app installed.

Users may choose to select the Remember Me checkbox shown below, which remembers the three combinations of Device + Browser + User credentials all to be saved for the 12 hour duration of time.

Please note: If you change PC or use a different browser type, the Remember Me functionality will not transfer to new devices and will not work and you will be prompted for 2nd factor authentication again.

The Duo Mobile App allows a quick Approve or Deny on your mobile device and that's it!
